Maybe this is something not fully developed, but if this is intentional then reconsider. I understated the issue in my original post. I'm asking for fundamental PDM behavior. If users don't need to lock the file, people will cut corners, and then there will be conflicts when two users contribute over each other (changes will be lost). Thanks
